Thiocodin 100ml

 Thiocodin syrup 100ml is an over-the-counter drug use for dry cough. The drug works in two ways, it allows you to get rid of a troublesome, unproductive dry cough, reducing the cough reflex. It also supports bronchial lubrication and mucus production and then helps to cough up secretions.

How to dose Thiocodin syrup?

The use of Thiocodin syrup in adults and children over 12 years of age: 10 ml of syrup (1 scoop) three times a day, not more often than every 4 to 6 hours. Do not use doses higher than recommended. A measuring cup is attach to the medicinal product. This syrup should not be use in children under 12 years of age. Take this syrup orally, during meals. Adequate fluid intake (at least 2 liters) should be taken during the day to obtain the desire effect of the medicinal product.

Interactions with other drugs

Caution is require when using concomitantly with another preparation containing codeine, as there is a risk of codeine overdose. This is a syrup medicinal product use to treat a troublesome cough that is not associated with expectoration.
Strawberry flavor. This syrup has an antitussive effect, inhibits the cough reflex, reduces the frequency of coughing attacks (codeine) and expectoration, facilitates the movement of liquefied secretion in the respiratory tract and its expectoration (sulfaguayacol).

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Adults and children aged 12 to 18 years: orally, with meals, 1 scoop (10 ml of syrup) three times a day, no more than every 4 to 6 hours.
It is not recommended to use doses exceeding those recommended. In order to obtain the desired effectiveness of the product, you should take the right amount of liquid during the day (at least 2 liters).
