Oxydolor 20mg is an opioid pain medication sometimes call a narcotic. This medicine  is strong prescription pain medicine use to treat moderate to severe pain. It is use to manage pain when other treatments such as non-opioid pain medicines are unable to control the pain or you cannot tolerate alternate treatments.

Use Oxydolor 20mg

The key issue in determining the dose is the intensity of the pain and the patient’s individual sensitivity to the drug. The medicine is administer to adults, adolescents and children over 12 years of age. The most common recommended starting dose is 10 mg (or in some cases 5 mg) every 12 hours.

The lowest effective dose should be use. Equal doses are usually given in the morning and evening, but in some patients it may be beneficial to spread the doses unequally throughout the day. Dose adjustment is usually not necessary in elderly people with normal renal and/or hepatic function. In patients at increase risk (e.g. with impaire liver or kidney function) who have not previously been treated with opioids, the initial dose should be half. The medicine should not be use for longer than absolutely necessary; wean off gradually.

Side effects

Like any drug, Oxydolor may cause side effects. The most frequently observe symptoms include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, vomiting, constipation, nausea, and itching. In addition, cases of appetite-related disorders have also been observe, ranging from decreased appetite, even to anorexia, and behavioral disorders such as confusion, anxiety, depression, nervousness, and impaired thinking.

When should you not use Oxydolor

Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the preparation, soy or peanuts, severe respiratory failure with hypoxia of organs and tissues. And/or hypercapnia, hypercapnia, severe COPD, cor pulmonale syndrome, severe bronchial asthma, paralytic intestinal obstruction, acute abdominal syndrome, delayed gastric emptying, period breastfeeding.
